Sneaker time

As I told you in my previous post, I needed some new shoes. I got myself some elegant pairs and some super cool Nike's. I must admit I'm already addicted to them, totally comfortable and pretty rad. I love the neon green laces, gives them an extra edge.

I'm also on the lookout for some wedge sneakers, as my cheap China once got ruined pretty quickly. I usually willing to pay more for shoes, cause I have extremely difficult feet (not exaggerating), but sometimes cheap thrills get the best of me. Thrown away shoes after less than 20 wears.
I don't like a lot of the wedge sneakers, though. Something is always wrong with them, in my eyes.
I like the Nike Dunk Sky High, but they are pretty sporty and I want something more classy.
We'll see, maybe I'll bump into something I like while least expecting it.
Not going to take any more of your precious time, here's the outfit.

Shoe haul + Primark gear

I practically haven't shopped in months. As money doesn't grow on trees and endless winter didn't allow new summer gear, I patiently sat waiting until it all got better and it did. When spring finally arrived and the financials got better I found myself utterly bored with my wardrobe. So me and the bf decided to make a trip to Primark. The nearest store is in Luik and it was time we paid it a visit. All in all it wasn't half as big as the once I already visited (London and Germany), but I did find some stuff I liked, I always do.

I got two shirts and a classy version of track pants. The white shirt and the pants make a pretty nice combo. My favorite piece from Primark is this yellow polka dot dress. All about it screams summer and prettiness. The quality is amazing, never would have guessed it was from Primark. I have a wedding coming up soon, I hope the weather will be good enough to wear it.
I also got the glasses you've already seen here, Minnie Mouse pj's and a macaron mug.
I hope Primark will be coming to Ghent, the opening was planned for this year, but there's no news about it anymore.

So last week, when the temperatures began to rise I realized I don't have any proper day to day shoes for spring. I decided to hit the local shopping street and ended up buying three pairs in one hour time. I really needed new shoes, right?! And I also bought a new pair of pumps from the 'New Icons' collection the week before. So, four new pair of shoes and one of them are SNEAKERS! I finally found what I liked. They're Nike's with neon green laces, they walk like heaven and I love them!

Light colored footwear is something that was absent in my wardrobe. Now I have these awesome H&M boots for just 20 euros and these studded Anvers loafers in the softest leather.

Also from H&M this delicious mint blazer (-30%-) and expensive looking, but cheap ass jewelry.

My shopping hunger is satisfied for now, I'll try to save up a bit, some home shopping coming soon.
Oh, there's just a Fashionology necklace on the way...

Luckily we did get some warmer moments lately, though colder days are still frequent, at least some imitation of spring is here. This is the first barelegged outfit of the year. It was just one of those extraordinary days, warm, sunny weather. We actually were able to dine out on a terrace in the evening and not freeze.
I can't wait till summer. Sun makes life so much easier.

I must confess I'm a huge fan of leopard print. I must force myself not to buy another dress or blouse. One of my favorites is this trench from Zara. I've been aching to wear it the whole winter. Leopard print doesn't need much fuss. A bold lip and some accessories and done. I wore this trench as a dress that day with just a negligee underneath, as it was quite warm. Overall this outfit feels very Italian. Gotta love my Anna Dello Russo accessories too.

Wearing: Zara trench, H&M New Icons shoes, Anna Dello Russo x H&M sunnies and bracelet.

Clinique Chubby Sticks Review

I decided to mix things up and do a beauty post. I chose a product that I like quite a lot and use frequently, the Clinique Chubby Sticks. Chubby sticks are moisturizing lip balm sticks.
I got my first one somewhere last year and when the new Chubby Intense hit the market I couldn't resist either. Besides various color option, I love it's shape, reminds me of a marker. Makes it pretty easy to use too.

My first Chubby is shade 05 'Chunky Cherry. It's a soft cherry red, that you can use during the day, without people staring at you as like they never seen red lips before. You can clearly see the difference between the two swatches when it comes to opacity. I usually go around my lips a few times with Chunky Cherry to get a  visible color, while the new Chubby Intense is more like a lipstick, you get a lot of color just in just one swipe.

This shot makes me want to eat it all, AMAZING!

As you can see, Chunky Cherry shade is pretty sheer.

I must say I like Chubby Intense more. I like a bold lip and this is what it gives you + some moisturizing. I chose the darkest shade, 08 Grandest Grape, isn't it totally gorgeous?!
So I definitely recommend the Chubby Sticks. They're practical, easy to use and all in all fun.

There's also a new Chubby to hit the stores soon, this time for the eyes. I must say they look nice too, but I'm a bit sceptical about their practicality. I'm not a big fan of creamy eyeshadow either, but I'm going to check them out when they launch here.

To end this post I like to ask you all a little favor. If you like reading my blog, please vote for me in She Style Award competition. Just press on the 'Breng je stem uit' button underneath my name and confirm with your e-mail adress. I'm probably not going to win, as I absolutely hate to ask around for votes, but still...

Thanx ;)

Coachella 2013

Time for a recap of the first weekend of the Californian festival Coachella. Place to see and be seen, Coachella is as much a fashion festival as a musical one. Fashion parties during Coachella have become a regular thing. Lacoste, H&M, Guess, Hugo Boss, Forever 21 are a few names from this year. As every year, many celebs were spotted.

It was hard to choose, so a long post coming up. Must admit I'm very jealous, as I love good weather and festivals. I can hardly speak about good weather and the festival season is still a few months to go. Dreaming away once again.
